Mays Landing Branch Temporary Closure

The Mays Landing branch of the Atlantic County Library System will be closed temporarily as of Monday, August 26, 2024 for the installation of a new $2.68 million HVAC system and generator. The library branch is expected to reopen in January 2025.

Pre-construction mobilization will begin as of August 5. As a result, the four electric vehicle charging stations in the library parking lot will not be available August 5 through September 3, but will then be available throughout the duration of the project.

During the closure, patrons are encouraged to visit any of the library system’s other nine branches. Patrons may also access digital media services and databases 24/7 on the website.

The Mays Landing branch’s book drop box, located in the front of the building, will remain open for the return of any borrowed materials.

ACLS Mays Landing Branch will not be accepting item donations during this time. In the interim, donations may be made to one of other 9 branches. Please call ahead to confirm.

Despite remaining closed for construction, the library’s second floor meeting room will still serve as an Early Voting location for the general election, October 26 through November 3.
