During the last seven days of each calendar month, patrons can choose from a curated selection of TV shows, movies, comics and manga, eBooks, and audiobooks without using their monthly borrows

To register for a hoopla account:
- Download the hoopla app or visit hoopladigital.com.
- Choose “Get Started Today” to open sign-up window.
- Provide an email and create a password.
- Type or choose Atlantic County Library System.
- Enter your ACLS card number (14 digits, no spaces).
- Read, listen, watch!
After this initial sign up, you will use the login information you created (email, password) to sign in to hoopla going forward.
Sign in with the email address and password you used to register for hoopla.
Browse titles on your computer or mobile device by clicking Browse All on the format (Music, Movies, Audiobooks, eBooks, Comics, and Television). You can search for a specific title by clicking on the Search box or magnifying glass and typing in a title or keyword(s).
To borrow a title, click on the title and then click the Borrow button. Your borrowed titles can be played right after borrowing. Once a title is borrowed, it will be added to your My Titles menu. From there, you can play the title on any of your devices.
Hoopla can be used with apps for Apple and android mobile devices, Apple TV, Fire TV, Roku, smart TV, Chromecast, and your PC via a browser.
Stream the title or download it to your device to watch, read, or listen to it. You'll need to download content if you plan on enjoying it without Wi-Fi.
Each cardholder is allotted 6 borrows per month. These can be any of combination of eBooks, audiobooks, music albums, movies, TV shows and graphic novels.
Borrows reset on the 1st of every month.
Borrowing times depend on format:
- eBooks, Audiobooks & Comics - 21 days
- Music Albums - 7 days
- Movies and Television Episodes - 3 days
Checkouts are automatically returned after due date.
Bonus Borrows are offered 4 times a year and are usually scheduled for February, May, August, and November. They will include a collection of over 1,100 titles that are available, across all formats and will NOT count against borrow limits!
hoopla Kids Mode is a setting designed to make discoverability of children's content easier for parents and kids.- All content shown while in Kids Mode has been deemed suitable for children up to 12 years of age.
- To turn on Kids Mode, click on the word KIDS at the top of the tablet, mobile device, or computer screen.
- Be mindful that Kids Mode can be turned on and off without restriction.
The hoopla patron support team is a dedicated group of specially trained technical and library experts who work out of hoopla headquarters and take pride in the fact they get to assist patrons on behalf of our library.
Here are 2 easy ways for you to get assistance:
While playing a title: At the bottom of each title page on the hoopla mobile app or within each content player on the hoopla website, there is a special link or icon where you can report an issue or ask a question.
This is the best way to report a possible playback issue.
Using “Submit Feedback”: At the bottom of the hoopladigital.com website is a “Submit Feedback” link that can be used to start a support ticket. On your mobile device, this feature is found by pressing the help icons, (!) or (?) under Settings.
This is the best way to contact hoopla about a login or registration issue or even to make suggestions for a new feature you would like to see.
