Bove [sic] Case returnable Before me on the twentyeth [sic]
Day of December eighteen hundred and Sixty Six at two
oclock in the after noon December the twentyeth [sic]
ninth Constable return the with in Servd [sic]
on the wife of the Defendant By reading and

Leaving A coppy [sic] with hir [sic] H Shaw Constable
December the twenty ninth the party met at two
Oclock [sic] and the plantiff [sic] put of the trial one
Week January the fifth and Crave A Six men
Jury Granted A [vunira] January the fifth

And the Constable [velern] the writ the following name
John Hunter Peter S Ingersoll Jessy Lee
Wesley Ingersoll Daniel C Townson the
party redy [sic] for trial the Jury was Sworn
the plantiff [sic] was Sworn and opened the
case and after hereing [sic] the evidence the
Defendant was Sworn and then Submited [sic]
the case to the jurors the jury went off
ten one our made up the verdic in favor
of John Lane the plantiff for two gallons
and ninty four Cents and cost of suit two dollars
thirty nie cents whitch Frederic Peterson
the defendent paid
