Starting Monday, December 15, 2025, the Atlantic County Library System will officially launch our own exclusive Libby digital collection—separate from the South Jersey Regional Library Cooperative’s shared OverDrive catalog. This shift gives us the freedom to shape a digital collection that better reflects the interests, priorities, and reading tastes of our community.
What’s Staying the Same
You’ll continue to enjoy all the familiar Libby features and settings:
- The Libby App (no need to download anything new)
- 6-title checkout limit
- 5-title hold limit
- Loan periods:
- 7–14 days for eBooks and eAudiobooks
- 7 days for eMagazines
How to Log In
To access our new ACLS collection:
- Open the Libby app or go to libbyapp.com on any browser.
- Search for Atlantic County Library System
- Log in using your 14-digit ACLS library card number (no spaces) and your library password
About Your Current Loans and Holds
- Any existing holds on ACLS-owned titles will transfer automatically if ACLS has purchased the title for our new collection – and we’re doing our best to make sure all your favorites titles and reader requests are there.
- Any titles that you’ve already checked out and downloaded will remain available for the entire loan period—even if they aren’t part of the new ACLS-owned collection.
We’re thrilled about this new chapter and can’t wait to continue building a digital library that’s even more closely tailored to our community’s needs. Happy downloading—and thank you for being part of ACLS!
