Computer Basics
Check branch calendars for a schedule of individualized computer assistance. Or pick up a basic skills flyer and go online for a mousing around tutorial. Ask a staff member for help at any time.
Job Searching?
Learn how to prepare a resume. Search for jobs through links found on the library’s website. Did you know that 90% of the top 100 businesses are using online applications exclusively? The majority of employers today expect potential employees to be familiar with online applications and email.
Resume Assistance
A polished, updated resume is a must. We can help you navigate online resume programs and help you create your own clear and concise resume.
eMail Set-up
Don’t have an email account? We can help with that as well. When you apply online, you are expected to email your resume. And to hear back from potential employers, you will need an email address.
Using the computers in the library? Important tips to remember:
1) Our computers use a time management program. You’ll have a limited time in which to accomplish your tasks. Understand what that is.
2) Come to a session prepared & ready to work. There are flyers for each program that list the information you need to get started.
3) Saving your work is important. You can save to a flash drive (available at the library for $10) or we can show you how to use your email as a storage device. Our computers cannot save your work.
