This collection is part of our ongoing digitization project. The collection contains many wills and other documents that were recorded in the Atlantic County Clerk and Surrogate's offices. Our Wills, Guardianship and Orphan's Court collection contains over 8,000 wills, guardianship files, and documents from Atlantic County's Orphan's Court. Documents in the collection date from 1837 to 1921. All documents are scanned from microfilm, and are available here in Adobe PDF form.

While most are related to everyday citizens of Atlantic County, some are those of famous persons in our county's history. For example, you can find the digitized will of Dr. Jonathan Pitney, regarded as the Father of Atlantic City.
