Welcome to the Atlantic County
Library System. The library system is the information center
in Atlantic County. The Library System includes nine branch libraries
located throughout Atlantic County. In addition, the library offers a books-by-mail program and a bookmobile.
Our computerized public access
catalog contains over 500,000 books and audio-visual items. In addition,
the catalog includes a number of useful databases. For example, you can
find indexes to over 400 magazines and the New York Times newspaper. The
catalog also includes an index to the Press of Atlantic City newspaper
and an index of over 800 clubs and other community organizations. In addition,
a calendar of events lists information on upcoming library and community
activities.
The public access catalog is
available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We offer many options for
searching our catalog, and invite you to visit our catalog
gateway page. If you prefer, you can begin a basic search of the library catalog by using the "Search the Catalog" option found on the left hand menu of most pages of our web site. Of course, the catalog is available at any
of the Atlantic County Library System branches.
Follow
this link for information about the individual
branches including their locations and hours.
This World Wide Web site also
offers favorite links of our librarians, and the favorite links page is categorized by subject. There you will
find interesting and helpful reference tools. There is access to other
county, state and federal databases and other sources of information.
I hope you enjoy your visit
to our website, and invite you back often. I encourage you to visit a
branch of the Atlantic County Library System soon. If you have any questions
